Small Things With Great Love
This work was done as a homework assignment in Reggie Ezell's "26 Seeds: a Year to Grow" in-person workshop. The simplicity of the design was inspired by the altruistic thoughts and actions of Mother Teresa, which reflects the
purest form of love.
The simple but elegant pressurized Roman letters were in red to represent the passionate heart of Mother Teresa. The red quote was carefully arranged to enhance the composition of the design and help the black and white image
become a stronger focal point.
The serene, caring, and loving gesture in the drawing was inspired by the photograph of Raghu Rai. The work was on hot press watercolor paper, 16X20". The Roman letters were 1" tall in Cadmium red deep gouache, and the drawing was done with 0.5mm 2B and 4B lead.
