Aiko’s: Goodby Old Friend
(a tribute to the passing of a provider of exotic materials and inspiration)

We are at that time of year now where we traditionally welcome in the new and usher out the old. But I would like to take less than three minutes of your time to look back on something that was precious in the past.

In 2008 we lost a valuable resource. It wasn't just an art store but a place where you went to that was restorative to your creative sensibilities.  I wrote this little tribute back when it closed for our guild’s newsletter. Since then I have always wanted to make a video of it. This is my humble attempt to pass along to you the generosity and love (Aiko) that so imbued this space and time.
