Offhand flourishing mixed with triangle brush florals is my favorite thing to do. Although the flourishing is calligraphic there are no letters, no guidelines and no planned design. It’s very freeing to just let the piece develop line by line.
My tools are a straight penholder and pointed nib. The triangle brush (the pointed pen of the brush world ) makes wonderful florals to compliment the flourishing. I use watercolor as my medium in the nib and the brush.
