I'll Call for Pen ad Ink

What calligrapher could resist this quote? Another fun technique to play with: cutting out the negative space around block letters and placing the page over a colored background. In this case ink splats with with color crayon melted onto paper heated with an iron. I have to say that was a lot of fun. After doing one version with carefully lined up letters nice and square and straight I
thought, well that’s not really the spirit. So I free handed the lines giving them a bit of a curve and then wrote the words in between. A sharp #11 exacto blade was used to cut the Canson paper with ease.
