“My Cat, Mischief”
This is a piece that happened as I was working on 2 big serious pieces. Someone put the quote on Facebook and it fit this particular cat.

The paper is Arches cover black. The cat was drawn first with light fast Prismacolor watercolor pencils and blended with water. The writing is Schmenki silver gouache and written with a Mitchell 5 nib upside down.

NOTE: Betsy’s book, “Insights into Left Handed Calligraphy” is still in print and is one of the best for southpaws ever written. And YES, she does letter upside down and backwards!
